We are thrilled to announce that trendy, independent cafe, Leo & Sage, has this month been recognised for its growth and successes, being announced as a finalist in both the 2023 Taste of Kent Awards and Muddy Stiletto awards.
Since opening its doors in the summer of 2022, Leo & Sage has become a popular
favourite and foodie destination for Ashford locals and the like, and now their hard work has paid off as they’ve been shortlisted for two prestigious local awards.
This year’s Taste of Kent Awards for business categories was announced earlier this
month, and revealed finalists for categories including independent retailers, food and
drink markets, restaurants, street food, growers, farmers and start-ups, the latter of which
Elwick Place’s popular cafe Leo & Sage have been shortlisted. The startup category recognises Kent businesses that have started trading in the food and drink industry over the past 18 months and will be judged at the Taste of Kent Festival which takes place on June 15th, 2023.
Not only that, Leo & Sage have also been shortlisted in the Muddy Stiletto Awards for
Best Kent Cafe. The Muddy Stilettos Awards are the most coveted awards for small
independent lifestyle businesses across the country, run across 28 counties and are free
to enter. 2023 saw 27 different lifestyle categories and opened with nominations at the
beginning of April. Leo & Sage have made it to the regional finals and will need the
public to vote before the regional winners are announced on June 13.
