Exquisitely Palatable. Elwick Place.
At Elwick Place we are aiming to bring the finest day-time and evening dining experience to Ashford, and we are extremely excited as new tenants will soon begin to open, joining Ashford Picturehouse in offering exactly that.
Faversham-based Macknade’s new venue will offer an all-day dining experience, bar and delicatessen. It will be the go-to spot to enjoy freshly prepared produce with rich provenance for breakfast, lunch and evening dining, delivered in a relaxed and communal environment.
You can expect to see a huge variety on the menu, including burgers and steaks prepared by Macknade butchers, vegan options reflecting Macknade's Kentish and Mediterranean roots and home baked cakes served with delicious coffee. Pair this with a bar stocked with the very best beer, cider, wine, spirits and soft drinks from Kent’s flourishing drinks scene and it's easy to understand why we're so excited for their arrival.
The UK’s very first Dansaki Afro-Caribbean restaurant is also planned to open in December, bringing an exciting new food and drink concept to the town.
Combining a tapas lounge, cosmopolitan bar and full service dining, Dansaki will serve an exquisite range of Afro-Caribbean and continental cuisine in a cosy and welcoming atmosphere. The menu will have exotic flare throughout and be a ‘complimentary mingling of traditional Afro-Caribbean and continental cuisine’. During the summer months, diners can sit outside on the patio and enjoy a special summer menu, including BBQ grills and exotic themed drinks.
Alongside second-to-none dining experiences, both venues are looking forward to offering the people of Ashford exciting events, including; food tastings and tutored classes with Macknade and live music and themed nights celebrating Nigerian culture from Dansaki.
