We are thrilled to announce that this month’s trendy, independent cafe, Leo & Sage, has been recognised for its growth and successes, winning Silver in this year’s Taste of Kent Awards and Best Cafe at the Muddy Stiletto awards.
Since opening its doors in the summer of 2022, Leo & Sage has become a popular
favourite and foodie destination for Ashford locals and the like, and now their hard work has paid off as they’ve been shortlisted for two prestigious local awards.
Leo & Sage were thrilled to receive silver in the Kent Start-up food & drink business of the year category at last week’s Taste of Kent Festival in Canterbury which the University of Greenwich sponsored.
The startup category recognises Kent businesses that have started trading in the food and drink industry over the past 18 months.
Not only that, Leo & Sage have also been announced as winners of the Muddy Stiletto Awards for Best Kent Cafe. The Muddy Stilettos Awards are the most coveted awards for small independent lifestyle businesses across the country, run across 28 counties and are free to enter. 2023 saw 27 different lifestyle categories.
What a week that was for Leo and Sage. We were over the moon and very proud to win the Muddy Stilettos’ independent businesses’ Award for Best Café in Kent earlier in the week. The double whammy came a few days later, winning the Silver at the Taste of Kent Awards for best Kent Start-up Food and Drink Business of the Year. A week of pure joy, pride and humility. Leo and Sage is a constant labour of love, determination and passion. We aimed to create a heaven for coffee lovers, a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere to indulge in beautiful treats and delicious dishes. Winning these awards is a tremendous honour and recognition, as we’ve only been open less than a year.
